Marilyn Sherman creates unique prints known as monotypes and monoprints that combine a love of photography, painting and printmaking.
After graduating from Bard College as a fine arts major with a concentration in painting, she continued studies at the School at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Massachusetts College of Art, Harvard Extension School, South Shore Art Center, deCordova Museum School, and Zea Mays printmaking studio.
An active participant in the printmaking community, Marilyn is a member and former president of Full Tilt Print Studio (a juried cooperative printmaking studio located at Mother Brook Arts & Community Center in Dedham, MA), a member of The Boston Printmakers, and a life-time honorary member and former treasurer of the Monotype Guild of New England. Her prints are shown in regional and national exhibitions and are included in the permanent collections of the Boston Public Library and Art Complex Museum Duxbury.
